Family craft night is something we always look forward to in our home. Whether it's cooking, science experiments, or art projects, we always have a blast!
This Family Craft Night focuses on Tie Dye Cookies, an absolute favorite with my children! If you're thinking "Me + baking? That won't end well..." you're not alone! Confetti put together pre-made Tie Dye Cookie Kits, so you can skip the baking and get straight to decorating. If you're going this route, scroll on past the cookie and icing recipes to see some unique tie-dye designs to try at home.
You can order our dozen and half-dozen cookie kits here: https://www.confettiplaycafe.com/product-page/tie-dye-cookie-kit-dozen
If you're up for baking, follow the directions below to get started!
Creating the Tie Dye Effect
Using your uncolored, thicker icing, pipe around the border of your cookie. This will create a barrier to prevent the thinner icing from running off your cookie.
Using the colored icing make any pattern that you like and then use a toothpick to drag the colors into each other and create a tie dye effect! Here are a few we made!
We hope you enjoy this at-home craft night with the family and we can't wait to see what designs you come up with. Tag us in your photos @confettiplaycafe for a chance to be featured on our profile!
