Looking for a safe in-person after school program to foster creativity, peer interaction, and positive thinking for elementary-aged children. While social distancing outside at individual work tables/spots, this program encourages children to collaborate with one another through daily crafts, hands-on activities, and engaging conversations about mindfulness and how to be the best version of yourself.
This program will focus on a valuable topics such as:
What it Means to be a Hero
Problem Solving Skills
Setting & Accomplishing Goals
Developing a Growth Mindset
All while having fun! These topics will be accompanied by hands-on activities, art/science projects, crafts, games, and more!
Ages: K-5th grade
Time: 3:30-5:30, Monday-Friday

Topic - What it Means to be a Hero
Craft - Build Your Own Comic Book
Details - Confetti will provide each child with a blank comic-book template, markers & crayons, and lead the group through what to draw in each blank section. The day’s conversation will focus on questions such as
What does it mean to be a hero?
What qualities make up a hero?
Who are our personal heroes?
How can we be a hero to someone else?
At the end of the day, each child will have created their own superhero comic to
Confetti will take the following precautions each day to ensure the safest environment possible:
Health checks will be conducted daily on all staff and campers
Campers will practice safe social-distancing at individual work tables
Staffers and Children will wear masks at all times
We will follow hand washing and sanitation protocols
Each camper will be provided with their own supplies for activities and crafts
